About the Role: Program Manager – Alkaline Electrolyzer
We are looking for an experienced
Program Manager for Alkaline Electrolyzer Systems
to lead the development, integration, commercialization & market development of alkaline electrolyzer technology. This role will involve strategic techno-commercial roadmap development, Transfer of Technology, Vendor development, manufacturing, cost & performance optimization, system engineering, go-to-market strategy & implementation, customer engagement & value positioning & development of commercial models through collaborating with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders

Roles & Responsibilities & Key Objectives
- Define and drive the technical and strategic roadmap for Alkaline Electrolyzer system development in alignment with business objectives and market trends.
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers and process specialists for the development and scaling up of alkaline electrolyzer systems.
- Oversee the design, integration, and optimization of Alkaline Electrolyzer balance of plant (BOP) systems, including gas separation, purification, safety, and control systems.
- Champion cost reduction, localization and make/buy decisions.
- Lead setting up manufacturing / assembly / testing facility for large scale Balance of stack systems
- Identify and develop innovative system integration and operational strategies for efficiency, reliability, and cost optimization.
- Drive market competitiveness and foster stakeholder engagement across PSU’s, project developers, industrial houses, IPP’s, EPCs, suppliers, consultants, and policy influencers.
- Develop strategic roadmaps for market entry and expansion across domestic and international markets.
- Develop & position value propositions to customers through innovative commercial models and RE integrated models for LCOH optimization.
- Build strategic partnerships with OEMs, system integrators, research institutes, and vendors to accelerate development timelines.
- Manage internal pilot projects and explore opportunities for external demonstrations with strategic customers.
- Supervise intellectual property development and management related to electrolyzer technologies.
- Oversee project management aspects including budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and resource planning for technology programs.
- Collaborate with R&D, process engineering, manufacturing, quality, and business development teams to meet project milestones and commercial readiness targets.
Major Deliverables
- Product Development - Experience in technology commercialization and knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and intellectual property management. Effective project and program management capabilities.
- Domain knowledge- Green Hydrogen technologies, Technical understanding in electrolyzer and process system development. Expertise in process industry / gas separation and purification systems/ industrial water electrolysis. Exposure to capital good / process equipment manufacturing and Project Management activities in EPC / Oil & Gas / Refineries is preferred
- Strategic Thinking – Ability to assess market trends, policy landscapes, and competitive dynamics to shape business strategy.
- Stakeholder Management – Strong relationship-building skills with government bodies, PSUs, industry leaders, investors, and internal teams.
- Business Acumen – Deep understanding of techno-commercial aspects in the renewable/engineering domain, including for financial modelling especially hydrogen or clean energy
- Entrepreneurial Mindset – Proactive, self-driven, and comfortable with ambiguity in emerging markets and technologies.
- Strong Communication & Representation Skills – Confidence to represent the company in forums, drive discussions, and influence stakeholders.
- Execution Orientation – Focused on driving results through structured planning, follow-through, and timely decision-making. Strong project and program management skills with experience leading complex, cross-functional technology initiatives.
- Presentation / analytics – Proficient in PowerPoint for creating presentations & in Excel for data analysis and project-related workings is must.
