Production Engineer

The Production Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production of high-quality products. The role involves optimizing production methods, improving efficiency, maintaining equipment, ensuring safety, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the plant. Key Responsibilities: Plan and organize daily production schedules to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets. Monitor and control production processes, equipment performance, and output quality. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and minimize downtime. Analyze production data and prepare reports on efficiency, output, and performance metrics. Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure smooth operation of machinery and timely preventive maintenance. Ensure all production activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Collaborate with design, quality, and procurement teams to resolve production issues. Assist in new product development (NPD) by developing manufacturing methods and process layouts. Train and supervise operators and technicians to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs). Support implementation of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma, or 5S initiatives. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Industrial, Production, or Manufacturing Engineering. 1–5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of production processes, process control, and quality systems (ISO, 5S, etc.). Proficiency in AutoCAD, ERP systems, and MS Office. Understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement tools. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong organizational and communication abilities. Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines. Preferred: Experience with automation and CNC machines (if applicable). Certification in Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma.
