Production Engineer

Job Title: Production Engineer Sheet Metal Fabrication

Location: Rohtak, Haryana

Job Summary

Dlyft India LLP is looking for an experienced Production Engineer with strong hands-on exposure in Weld Shop, Machine Shop, and Press Shop operations. The candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing production activities to ensure timely delivery, quality compliance, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Operations

• Manage day-to-day production activities in Weld Shop, Machine Shop, and Press Shop.

• Ensure achievement of production targets as per daily, weekly, and monthly plans.

• Monitor manpower allocation and machine utilization for maximum efficiency.

• Coordinate with PPC for production planning and schedule adherence.

Process & Improvement

• Implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce cycle time, and minimize rejection.

• Conduct root cause analysis for production losses, downtime, and quality issues.

• Support Kaizen, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Quality & Safety

• Ensure adherence to quality standards, SOPs, and work instructions.

• Coordinate with Quality team for first-off approval, in-process inspection, and corrective actions.

• Ensure compliance with safety norms, safe work practices, and statutory requirements.

Coordination & Reporting

• Coordinate with Design, Quality, Maintenance, Purchase, and Stores departments.

• Prepare and submit daily production reports, rejection analysis, and efficiency reports to management.

• Support audits (internal/external) and customer visits.

Manpower Management

• Supervise and guide supervisors, operators, and contract manpower.

• Conduct on-job training and skill development for shop-floor employees.

• Monitor discipline, attendance, and performance of team members.

Technical Skills & Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of Sheet Metal Fabrication Processes.

• Hands-on experience in:

• Weld Shop (MIG, TIG, Spot Welding, Fixtures)

• Press Shop (Power Press, Hydraulic Press, Dies & Tooling)

• Machine Shop (CNC, VMC, Conventional Machines)

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.

• Knowledge of production planning, cycle time calculation, and line balancing.

• Basic understanding of ISO / IATF systems (preferred).

Educational Qualification

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
