Job Summary

The Production Engineer – Mineral Processing Plant will be responsible for planning, monitoring, and optimizing daily production operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective processing of ore. The role focuses on achieving production targets, improving plant performance, reducing downtime, and maintaining product quality while strictly adhering to safety, environmental, and statutory requirements.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduction & Operations

• Plan and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules in line with ore availability and plant capacity.
• Ensure optimal operation of crushing, grinding, screening, classification, beneficiation, and material handling circuits.
• Achieve targeted throughput, recovery, and product quality parameters.
• Identify bottlenecks in the plant and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate with mining, maintenance, and quality teams for smooth plant operations.

Process Optimization & Improvement

• Analyze plant performance data (throughput, recovery, energy consumption, reagent usage).
• Implement process optimization initiatives to improve efficiency, recovery, and cost control.
• Participate in plant trials, process modifications, and commissioning of new equipment or circuits.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives such as TPM, Lean, or Six Sigma (if applicable).

Maintenance Coordination

• Work closely with the maintenance team to plan shutdowns, breakdown repairs, and preventive maintenance.
• Minimize plant downtime by proactive planning and quick troubleshooting.
• Ensure availability of critical spares and consumables in coordination with stores and procurement.

Safety, Environment & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with mine safety rules, statutory regulations, and company HSE policies.
• Conduct risk assessments, toolbox talks, and incident investigations.
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of tailings, waste, and process effluents.
• Promote a strong safety culture within the plant workforce.

Manpower Management

• Supervise shift engineers, operators, and technicians.
• Ensure proper shift allocation, training, and performance monitoring of plant personnel.
• Maintain discipline, productivity, and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare daily production reports, shift logs, and performance summaries.
• Maintain records related to production, downtime, consumables, and energy usage.
• Present improvement proposals and performance reviews to management.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: Up to ₹35,000.00 per month
