Job Summary

The Production Engineer – Core Winding is responsible for planning, supervising, and optimizing the core winding process to ensure high-quality output, productivity, and adherence to safety and quality standards. The role focuses on continuous improvement of winding operations, reduction of defects, and efficient use of manpower and materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor daily production activities in the core winding section.
• Ensure proper execution of core and coil winding processes as per drawings and specifications.
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot winding machines and related equipment.
• Monitor production parameters to achieve targets for quality, cost, and delivery.
• Coordinate with design, quality, and maintenance teams for process improvements.
• Analyze production issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain and update work instructions, SOPs, and process documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety rules, housekeeping (5S), and quality standards.
• Train and guide operators and technicians on winding methods and best practices.
• Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of core winding processes and materials (CRGO/CRNGO, copper/aluminum conductors, insulation).
• Understanding of electrical drawings and manufacturing specifications.
• Problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
• Basic knowledge of quality tools (7 QC tools, PPAP, FMEA – if applicable).
• Ability to manage manpower and meet production deadlines.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Production / Manufacturing Engineering.

Experience

• 1 to 2 years of experience in core winding or coil winding operations (transformer, motor, or related electrical manufacturing preferred).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
