Role Overview:

As a Procurement Executive, the individual will lead end-to-end sourcing, contract negotiation, cost control, and supplier governance. This role involves working cross-functionally with product, logistics, and finance to deliver reliable, efficient, and ethical procurement practices across steel categories.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the procurement lifecycle: requirement gathering, RFQs, vendor evaluation, contract negotiation, PO processing, and performance tracking.
  • Build and manage supplier networks across regions to ensure quality, timely delivery, and cost efficiency.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery with steel manufacturers, traders, and transporters under dynamic market conditions.
  • Align procurement plans with demand forecasts, inventory levels, and working capital constraints.
  • Monitor steel price trends and make data-informed decisions to hedge cost risks.
  • Leverage analytics tools and dashboards to track KPIs like cost savings, vendor OTIF (On Time In Full), and procurement cycle time.
  • Drive compliance to SOPs, audit trails, and ethical procurement standards.
  • Collaborate with finance to ensure timely payments and accurate accruals.
  • Coordinate with logistics to ensure seamless inbound and last-mile delivery.
  • Lead process improvements and automation to enhance procurement team productivity.


Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in B2C procurement, preferably in steel, manufacturing, EPC, or construction sectors.
  • Proven experience managing high-value vendor contracts, cost negotiations, and supplier onboarding.
  • Strong understanding of steel grades, standards, market dynamics, and logistics implications.
  • Proficient in procurement platforms (SAP, Coupa, Zoho, etc.) and Excel-based analytics.
  • Ability to manage multiple vendors, mitigate risks, and ensure business continuity.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional influence.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Fluent in English, Telugu, and Hindi (preferred).
