Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a Procurement representative in NPI (New Product Introduction) and Sustaining project teams, supporting the development of new projects, processes, tools, equipment, and components.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for ICT parts, raw materials, and services.
  • Manage procurement responsibilities for suppliers and subcontractors (pre- and post-RFQ) in coordination with series purchasing.
  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and compliance with standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001, etc.).
  • Lead supplier negotiations to secure favorable terms, pricing, and long-term agreements.
  • Manage purchase orders, contracts, and supplier performance to ensure timely delivery and adherence to specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, logistics, and production teams to align procurement activities with business requirements.
  • Coordinate manufacturing processes (molds, die sets, assemblies, purchased parts, and processes) performed by internal or external suppliers, with a focus on technology and procurement.
  • Support product cost analysis by gathering process-related inputs (e.g., cycle times, number of cavities, efficiency, operators required, CAPEX, production hours, changeover times, batch sizes). Provide inputs for Finance to prepare profit and loss statements and CER (Capital Expenditure Requests).
  • Support measurement and correction discussions with metrology centers and product development until final approval.
  • Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply risks to mitigate potential disruptions.
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives and value engineering projects in collaboration with suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical sourcing standards.
  • Support procurement activities for prototype and series production during new product launches.
  • Resolve supplier-related issues including delivery delays, quality concerns, and capacity constraints.


Required Background & Qualifications

  • University degree (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing within a global/multicultural environment.
  • Technical background (preferably in Molding and Stamping); experience with TE’s requirements is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement methodology and strategy, as well as operational/tactical expertise.
  • Proven track record of successful negotiations in Direct Procurement within a global ICT team.
  • Strong background in strategic purchasing fundamentals in a global environment.
  • Advanced project management skills.
  • Advanced SAP knowledge required.
  • Strong communication skills, with experience in multicultural environments.
  • Excellent proficiency in English; knowledge of German or French is an advantage.
  • Ability to simplify complex challenges and ensure accountability for deliverables.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications; experience with Power BI and Tableau is a plus.
  • Contract management experience; knowledge of Jaggaer is an advantage.
