Job Role Summary:

This role is responsible for managing and optimizing multi-cloud environments (primarily Microsoft Azure, with workloads in AWS and GCP). This role ensures uptime, scalability, cost-efficiency, security, and compliance across cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Infrastructure & Operations

• Manage daily operations of Azure, AWS, and GCP environments.

• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and scalability.

• Define and monitor SLAs, SLOs, and KPIs.

• Drive automation in provisioning, patching, and monitoring.

• Monitoring & Incident Management

• Own uptime and availability of cloud workloads.

• Implement cloud-native and third-party monitoring tools.

• Lead incident response and root cause analysis.

Security & Compliance

• Collaborate with InfoSec and GRC teams on governance and compliance.

• Enforce IAM, encryption, and vulnerability management.

• Manage patching and security updates across platforms.

Cost Optimization

• Develop and execute cloud cost optimization strategies.

• Provide cost reporting and forecasting with actionable insights.

DevSecOps & Automation

• Lead secure CI/CD pipeline initiatives.

• Promote Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.

• Integrate security into development pipelines.

Strategy & Architecture

• Partner with architecture teams on cloud strategy and modernization.

• Evaluate emerging technologies aligned with business needs.

Team Leadership

• Lead a global team of cloud engineers, DevOps, and SREs.

• Define team structure, roles, and development plans.

• Foster a culture of learning and innovation.

Executive Reporting

• Provide dashboards and reports to CIO and leadership.

• Act as escalation point for critical incidents and risks.

Required Qualifications:

• 15+ years in IT infrastructure, cloud engineering, or operations.

• 10+ years hands-on with Microsoft Azure; working knowledge of AWS and GCP.

• Proven experience managing enterprise-grade cloud environments.

• Expertise in cloud-native tools, DevSecOps, and SRE practices.

• Strong understanding of cloud security and compliance frameworks.

• Proficiency in IaC tools (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, etc.).

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

• Demonstrated leadership in managing cross-functional teams.

Certifications:

• Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Architect.

• Experience with multi-cloud networking and hybrid connectivity.

• Familiarity with ITIL, COBIT, TOGAF, or SAFe frameworks.

• Experience in regulated industries (Finance, Healthcare, Government).
