Responsibilities
Hands on skills administrating and implementing multi-tenant applications, Big Data, Databases (NoSQL and SQL)Knowledge and understanding of all aspects tuning, software configuration, memory usage, data access, data manipulation, SQL, and physical storage.Install, implement and use open-source software like Grafana/Prometheus for enterprise-wide deploymentsUnderstanding of systems, network, storage, identity and web technologiesKnowledge and use of REST APIsAnalysis of cloud strategies, design and development of tools for Oracle Public CloudProven ability in performing rapid assessments of clients' internal technology landscape and targeting use cases and deployment targets for Public Cloud technology.Ability to on-board seed systems onto Public Cloud and provide guidance in the platform evaluation.Solution Design & Delivery:
Design high-availability, DR, and backup architectures using Data Guard, RMAN, and related OCI services.Architect secure connectivity patterns — VPN, FastConnect, service gateways, and hybrid setups.Define infrastructure as code (IaC) standards using Terraform or Resource Manager.Partner with application, DBA, and DevOps teams to implement OCI solutions at scale.Governance & Optimization:
Set up tenancy structure, compartments, and IAM policies aligned with enterprise compliance requirements.Implement monitoring, cost governance, and performance optimization strategies.Drive automation for provisioning, patching, and lifecycle managementPreferred Technical Skills and Experience:
10+ years of work experience in any combination of engineering, product management and consulting with increasing responsibilities, with at least 5+ years as Cloud Architect with whole stack expertise.Overall good knowledge of Oracles private, hybrid and public cloud solutionsProficiency in shell scripting, Python and either Java or C++Conversant with containers and DevOps paradigmExposure to Oracle Database and Applications - OIC, VBCS are preferredExposure to Oracle Middleware Experience – WebLogic server, coherence, SOA, IDM, IAM preferred.Hands-on experience with OCI and at least one other cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP)Breaks down complex problems/issues to determine suitability and makes appropriate assessments and recommendationsProactively takes ownership of tasks and challenges and sees them throughStrives to build effective interpersonal relationships with colleagues, third parties and customers.BS or MS in computer science or engineering from a reputed universityQualifications
