Role Overview

Pre-Sales Specialist

client-facing, cross-functional role

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with sales and product teams to understand customer requirements and position solutions effectively.
  • Deliver product demos, proof-of-concepts (POCs), and technical deep-dives customized to each client’s use case.
  • Assist in crafting solution architectures, RFP responses, and technical documentation for pre-sales engagements.
  • Translate complex product features into business value propositions for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Support qualification of opportunities and assist sales team in closing deals by mitigating technical concerns.
  • Gather feedback from prospects to inform product improvements and roadmap priorities.
  • Own and manage technical evaluation stages of the sales cycle.
  • Stay up-to-date with platform features, AI/ML trends (if relevant), and competitive offerings.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in

    pre-sales, solutions engineering, or technical consulting

    in a SaaS, AI, or enterprise software environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs, databases, and enterprise integrations.
  • Comfort with tools like

    Figma, Notion, Google Workspace, CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce)

  • Ability to create clear and compelling documents, slide decks, and demo environments.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.

Bonus Points For

  • Experience supporting AI/ML, data platforms, or automation products.
  • Prior exposure to RFPs, procurement cycles, and enterprise sales motions.
  • Ability to conduct basic technical feasibility assessments and communicate findings.
  • Experience working with product-led growth (PLG) or high-velocity sales teams.
