Position Overview:

We are looking for a seasoned and visionary Plant Head to lead our Fabrication and Heavy Engineering manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will bring over 20 years of extensive experience in plant management, with a proven ability to oversee production, projects, planning, quality, purchase, and marketing functions. The Plant Head will be responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring timely project deliveries, maintaining quality standards, and optimizing productivity through effective leadership and cross-departmental coordination.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Educational Qualification:
• B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering or related field.
• MBA in Operations or General Management (preferred).
• Experience: Minimum 20 years of experience in fabrication, heavy engineering, or manufacturing industries, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or plant head role.
• Strong exposure to large-scale project execution, production planning, manpower management, and cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead overall plant operations to achieve production, quality, cost, and delivery targets.
• Develop and implement strategies for efficient fabrication and heavy engineering project execution.
• Oversee end-to-end operations including Production, Projects, Planning, QC, Purchase, and Marketing coordination.
• Plan and manage resources effectively to meet delivery timelines and customer expectations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, efficiency, and quality enhancement.
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and statutory compliance standards within the plant.
• Supervise manpower planning, recruitment, training, and performance evaluation to build a high-performing workforce.
• Coordinate with the marketing and project teams for order execution, customer feedback, and client satisfaction.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports to management.
• Manage plant budgets, control costs, and contribute to profitability improvement.
• Represent the plant during client visits, audits, and management reviews.
• Maintain a cordial and collaborative relationship with management, staff, and workforce.

• In-depth understanding of fabrication, machining, assembly, and heavy engineering processes.
• Expertise in production planning, project management, and process optimization.
• Excellent coordination, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of costing, budgeting, and financial controls in a manufacturing setup.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, MS Office, and production management tools.
• Hardworking, result-oriented, and capable of managing complex operations under tight deadlines.
• Ability to drive organizational growth and maintain strong client and workforce relationships.
