Job Summary:


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning and Management:

  • Develop and implement the university’s placement strategy in alignment with institutional goals.
  • Identify target industries and companies for recruitment partnerships.
  • Set placement targets and monitor progress towards achieving them.

Leadership:

  • Lead the placement activities, including Placement Executives and other support staff.
  • Foster a collaborative and motivating work environment.

Employer Engagement and Partnerships:

  • Establish and nurture long-term relationships with key industry partners and recruiters.
  • Organize and host employer engagement events, such as industry panels, guest lectures, and networking sessions.
  • Collaborate with academic departments to align curriculum with industry requirements.

Placement Operations Management:

  • Oversee the entire placement process, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and enforce placement policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Sharing industry feedback, trends, and expectations with students and leadership
  • Handle high-level negotiations and resolve any placement-related issues or conflicts.
  • Guide students for successful result at the interview, before the interview process starts.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Analyze placement data to assess the effectiveness of placement activities.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Utilize data insights to drive continuous improvement in placement services.

Marketing and Brand Building:

  • Enhance the university’s reputation as a preferred partner for employers.
  • Develop marketing strategies to promote placement services and student achievements.
  • Oversee the creation of promotional content, including brochures, success stories, and digital media.

Budget Management:

  • Manage the placement cell’s budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  • Identify and pursue funding opportunities, such as sponsorships and grants, to support placement activities.


Qualifications and Skills

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or a related field.
  • A master’s degree (preferably an MBA) or relevant certifications is highly desirable.

Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in placement management, career services.
  • Proven track record of successful placement operations and employer partnerships.
  • Ready to travel as per professional requirements.

Skills:

  • Advanced leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Strong strategic planning and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective placement strategies.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and labor market dynamics.
