Job Title: Placement Executive / Placement Coordinator

Location: Andheri East, Mumbai

Organization: Boston Institute of Analytics (BIA)

About the Role

BIA is looking for an experienced Placement Executive who can build strong corporate relationships, identify hiring needs, and connect our students with high-quality job opportunities in domains like Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Digital Marketing, Investment Banking, Cloud & DevOps, Business Analytics, MBA

corporate outreach, placement operations, job research, student coordination, and recruiter engagement

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Corporate Outreach & Employer Relationship Building

  • Actively identify and approach companies across IT, BFSI, Consulting, Analytics, SaaS, Cybersecurity, Cloud, and Digital sectors to establish long-term hiring partnerships.
  •   Connect with

    HR leaders, Talent Acquisition managers, Recruitment Heads, Campus Hiring teams, and Founders

    to understand their recruiting needs.
  •  Present BIA’s student strengths, curriculum depth, project portfolios, and hiring advantages to potential employers.
  • Build a strong employer pipeline by consistently reaching out through email, LinkedIn, calls, and networking forums.
  •  Maintain a structured employer database and nurture relationships for recurring placement opportunities.


2. Job Portal Research & Opportunity Sourcing

  •  Conduct daily research on

    Naukri, LinkedIn, Indeed, Hirist, iim jobs

    , and specialized tech job boards to shortlist roles relevant to BIA’s training programs.
  •  Evaluate job descriptions carefully to match skill requirements for Data Science, AI, Machine Learning, Cybersecurity, Ethical Hacking, Digital Marketing, Investment Banking, Cloud & DevOps, and Business Analytics.
  •   Track trending job titles, industry hiring patterns, and domain-specific requirements to keep placement strategies updated.
  •  Share shortlisted opportunities with students quickly and coordinate their applications to ensure high response rates.

 

3. Placement Drive Planning & Execution

  •  Design and schedule placement drives by coordinating with HR teams, ensuring smooth execution of every hiring round.
  •   Handle end-to-end operations including slot booking, student shortlisting, assessments, group discussions, and interview coordination.
  •  Arrange recruiter connect sessions, pre-placement talks, job orientation sessions, and virtual career fairs.
  •  Ensure that both recruiters and students experience a smooth, structured, and professional hiring process.

 

4. Recruiter Engagement & Requirement Understanding

  •  Conduct detailed discussions with recruiters to analyze hiring needs, required skills, preferred profiles, and job expectations.
  •  Share appropriate student profiles, resumes, and portfolios aligned with each job requirement.
  • Provide recruiters with structured updates, interview schedules, candidate availability, and post-interview feedback.
  •  Maintain consistent communication to build trust and increase the chances of repeat hiring.

 

5. Student Preparation & Career Development Support

  •  Guide students in creating

    ATS-friendly resumes

    , professionally written LinkedIn profiles, and domain-appropriate portfolios.
  •  Help them prepare for interviews by organizing

    mock interviews, aptitude practice, HR interview coaching, and technical preparation sessions

    .
  •  Maintain regular communication with students about newly available roles, deadlines, requirements, and interview etiquette.
  •  Ensure students understand market expectations and improve their presentation, communication, and technical readiness.

 

6. Placement Operations, Tracking & Reporting

  •  Update placement dashboards with all active drives, student applications, interview progress, and final outcomes.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly placement reports for management, highlighting performance, company engagement, and hiring pipelines.
  •  Maintain precise records of employer communication, job descriptions, shared profiles, conversion ratios, and offer details.
  •  Identify gaps or bottlenecks in the hiring process and share insights to improve placement success rates.

 

7. Cross-Team Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with the

    Academic Team

    to understand student performance and skill readiness.
  •   Coordinate with the

    Marketing Team

    to share real placement stories, hiring insights, and recruiter feedback.
  •  Work with the

    Student Support Team

    to address student concerns, readiness issues, and placement expectations.

 

Key Skills Required

  • Strong

    corporate relations, campus relations, and placement coordination

    experience.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and networking skills.
  • Ability to research job markets, identify relevant roles, and build hiring pipelines.
  • Familiarity with

    job portals, ATS platforms, and recruitment workflows

    .
  • Strong organizational, follow-up, and reporting skills.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 2+ years’ experience

    in placement coordination, corporate relations, recruitment, talent acquisition, or academic placements.
  • Prior experience in

    ed-tech, training institutes, universities, or technical skill-based programs

    is an advantage.
