The Business Performance Services (BPS) department within GBS Enterprise Services was created to deliver services internally to Pfizer colleagues and divisions that help create room for meaningful work. By delivering our services with high performance against the Five Points of Value (i.e. optimal cost, quality, compliance, client experience, and business impact), we help colleagues spend more time focusing on their missions; all in support of breakthroughs that change patients’ lives. The services our team delivers include, data analytics, translations services, creative, training & development, contingent labor, et. al. We have a variety of vendors who provide these services; however, we have an opportunity for more formal, aligned, disciplined, and governed management of their performance and strategic alignment with the business in order to execute.This role requires an experienced Strategic Services lead with a specialization in

Data & Analytics

within the BPS PfizerWorks team who will be accountable to help strategically manage and drive the Strategic Services category for PfizerWorks across many areas of our business while optimizing its performance against the Five points of Value (FPV). The individual will be responsible for driving global deployment of various services managed by preferred suppliers within the Digital and Global Commercial Analytics team spearheading development and execution of critical services in support of agentic AI initiatives. This role is crucial in driving data-driven decision-making processes and enhancing the effectiveness of our operations through innovative analytics solutions across multiple user groups within Pfizer. Additionally, strategic oversight between the vendor and business stakeholders across additional service lines would include

Consulting Services Support

and

Research and Surveys,

all key pillars of the PfizerWorks service portfolio. This position will report solid line into the BPS PfizerWorks Lead.

Role Responsibilities

  • Partner with Analytics team on driving the vision to design and deploy AI solutions, optimizing resources both internally and externally.
  • Business Strategy Development: Develop data-driven strategies for growth and efficiency
  • Performance Tracking: Identify key metrics and track performance, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategies for growth and efficiency.
  • Data Systems and Processes: Design and implement data systems and processes to support data analysis.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Help organizations make data-driven decisions by understanding and utilizing their data to improve operations, increase revenue, and make strategic decisions.
  • Industry Trends and Tools: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and tools, and identify new opportunities to help clients leverage data.
  • Strategic and Operational Support: Assist in analytic program management and planning initiatives supporting cross-functional teams.
  • Provide both operational execution and strategic insight when needed.
  • Client Collaboration: Partner with clients to understand their business objectives and provide tailored solutions using data analysis.
  • Manage client and vendor relationships, ensuring smooth program execution and stakeholder alignment.
  • Market and deploy key services including brand & customer analytics, Business & marketplace intelligence, business process support, reporting, dashboarding visualization, patient analytics and medical writing.
  • Provide best-in-class data governance, ensuring security and compliance across supplier base.
  • Collaborate closely with business functions to determine and validate service requirements.
  • Prepare high-quality reports and presentations, with a primary focus on executive-level materials to support the adoption of services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for our preferred Strategic Service suppliers to drive business solutions at a competitive price point.
  • Work with management to prioritize business and information needs.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of performance to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
  • Perform regular and ongoing assessments of preferred Strategic PW suppliers against the BOS&S five points of value.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders through comprehensive reports and presentations.
  • Define the success metrics to measure strategic and operational execution and ensure continuous improvement in partnership with Vendor Operations.

Basic Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering or similar related field required; MS or MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience, demonstrating career progression through levels of responsibility leading projects within data engineering, analytics, or other related settings.
  • Experience leading cross functional teams in a working in a dynamic, results-driven environment.
  • Working understanding of Data & Analytics, Technology, Business Development.
  • Strong business operations acumen. Prior experience as a SME in the Analytics Service line.
  • Mastery of complex business, engineering, and analytic issues, and provide in-depth evaluations of underlying causes and potential solutions.
  • Experience in implementation of prioritization programs, roadmaps using KPI/OKR methodology, and program management required; portfolio management is a plus.
  • Experience in managing trade-offs and prioritizing using data across portfolio of projects.
  • Mastery of complex business, engineering, and analytic issues, and provide in-depth evaluations of underlying causes and potential solutions.
  • Solid sense of ownership, customer service, collaboration, and integrity
  • Proactive in approach, focus on innovation and ability to learn new technologies.
  • Ability to manage conflicting ideas, concepts, and creating an environment to ensure all voices are heard, and to own the hard calls.
  • Ability to work outside own area of expertise, perform business discovery, simplify problems, extract key information, and propose innovative solutions.
  • Healthcare Industry experience, with understanding of commercial processes
  • Data analytics, science or machine learning experience, Management consulting, or other relevant product management experience a plus.
  • Stakeholder relationship building abilities, negotiation & influencing skills.

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years in Data & Analytics
  • Project Management, Operational Excellence, IT Consulting, Commercial Operations, Analytics Consulting.
  • Proven experience in implementing and deploying a MSP and implementing best practices within global enterprise, healthcare, pharma, or medical device industries.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and industry
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with 1) business stakeholders and digital/IT partners; 2) product and content designers and usability experts, 3) legal, regulatory, and quality assurance teams.
  • Strong analytical skills and a proactive, solution-driven mindset.
  • Analytical Model Understanding: Exposure in developing analytical models and manipulating databases.
  • Data Translation: Ability to translate unstructured data into actionable insights.
  • Collaboration: Proven success in delivering results and working in a highly matrixed organization, collaborating across multiple stakeholders.
  • Strategic Mindset: Ability to think strategically and analytically.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and collaborate with various teams.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated leadership skills to guide and motivate a team.
  • Quantitative Skills: Proficiency in quantitative analysis and data interpretation.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
