Payroll Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Manager / Senior Manager to lead and manage end-to-end payroll operations across multiple geographies including India, USA, UK, Netherlands, and Singapore. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in payroll processing while fostering a seamless employee experience and maintaining robust internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

1. Payroll Processing

• Own and manage end-to-end payroll operations across India, USA, UK, Netherlands, and Singapore.
• Ensure 100% accuracy in payroll transactions, including salary disbursements, tax deductions, benefits, and statutory compliance.
• Liaise with external payroll vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate payroll execution.

2. Controls & Evaluation

• Monitor payroll processes to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Conduct periodic audits and reconciliations to validate payroll data integrity.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to mitigate risks and ensure data security.

3. SOP Development & Maintenance

• Create, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for payroll processes and related projects.
• Ensure documentation is comprehensive, accessible, and aligned with current practices and regulatory requirements.

4. Stakeholder Collaboration

• Collaborate with HR, Finance, IT, and external vendors to ensure seamless data flow and system integration.
• Support cross-functional initiatives related to payroll, benefits, and compliance.

5. Employee Support

• Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll-related queries and issues.
• Provide timely resolutions and promote a positive employee experience through clear communication and support.

6. Reporting & Analytics

• Prepare and present monthly payroll reports, dashboards, and analytics to senior management.
• Highlight trends, anomalies, and resolutions to support strategic decision-making.

7. Regional Payroll Expertise

• Demonstrate hands-on experience and expertise in payroll systems and statutory requirements for India, USA, UK, and Singapore.
• Stay updated on regional payroll legislation and ensure compliance across all jurisdictions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, HR, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or relevant certification (e.g., CPP, CMA) preferred.
• 8–12 years of progressive experience in payroll management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience managing multi-country payroll operations.
• Strong understanding of statutory compliance, tax regulations, and labor laws in India, USA, UK, and Singapore.
• Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, SAP, Workday, Oracle) and MS Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage confidential information with integrity.
