We are now looking for a highly capable Payroll Manager who can lead and manage payroll operations for 1000+ employees across multiple locations.

Position Overview

The Payroll Manager will be responsible for ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing for the entire organization. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience managing payroll for a large workforce (1000+ employees), a strong understanding of statutory requirements, and the ability to streamline payroll processes with precision and integrity.

Key Responsibilities Payroll Operations

• Manage, review, and process end-to-end payroll for 1000+ employees (on-roll & contractual).
• Ensure 100% accuracy and timely disbursement of monthly salaries.
• Oversee attendance, leave management, shift schedules, OT calculations, and monthly inputs.
• Validate and reconcile salary structures, deductions, reimbursements, incentives, and arrears.
• Coordinate with Finance to ensure seamless payroll payouts.

Compliance & Statutory Management

• Ensure adherence to all statutory regulations including PF, ESI, PT, LWF, Gratuity, Bonus, Minimum Wages, Shops & Establishment Act, etc.
• File monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory returns accurately and on time.
• Prepare and issue Form 16, salary slips, and statutory documents.
• Stay updated on changes in labour laws and implement necessary updates in payroll.

Audit & Reporting

• Handle internal and external audits related to payroll and compliance.
• Prepare monthly MIS reports including payroll cost, variance, headcount, overtime, and statutory summaries.
• Maintain data accuracy and ensure zero audit observations.

System & Process Management

• Manage payroll software, employee master database, and HRIS integrations.
• Drive automation and process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Ensure confidentiality and secure handling of sensitive payroll information.

Employee Support

• Address payroll-related queries and resolve discrepancies with transparency and empathy.
• Support employees in understanding salary structure, taxations, and statutory deductions.

Required Qualifications & Skills Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, HR, or related field.
• MBA in HR/Finance preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in payroll operations.
• Mandatory: Experience handling payroll for 1000+ employees.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of payroll software (GreytHR, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot, MIS Reporting).
• Understanding of HRIS tools and integrations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year
