The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and intermittently improving our current network configuration and infrastructure. You will design our revamped network infrastructure with the goal of maximizing our network performance. You will also provide troubleshooting and configuration support by using your strong technical skills in Linux and Windows environments and IP networking.
1. Network Design and Architecture: o Develop and implement network architecture and design strategies to support business requirements, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. o Design and implement WAN/LAN infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless networks, to optimize network performance and availability.
2. Infrastructure Deployment and Maintenance: o Lead the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of server infrastructure, storage systems, virtualization platforms, and cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure). o Ensure the integrity and availability of IT infrastructure components, including servers, storage, operating systems, and middleware.
3. Network Security and Compliance: o Implement and enforce network security policies, protocols, and best practices to protect data, systems, and infrastructure from unauthorized access and cyber threats. o Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing; implement remediation measures as necessary to maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations.
4. Monitoring and Performance Optimization: o Monitor network and infrastructure performance, analyze network traffic patterns, and optimize network configurations to ensure efficient operation and resource utilization. o Configure and maintain network monitoring tools and dashboards to proactively identify and address performance issues and outages.
5. Team Leadership and Development: o Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of network engineers and infrastructure specialists, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment
