Job Summary:
The Maintenance In-Charge will be responsible for leading the maintenance function at Gravita’s Phagi plant, ensuring uninterrupted operations of all electrical and mechanical systems. This role involves strategic planning and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance programs, troubleshooting equipment failures, and implementing reliability improvement initiatives. The incumbent will oversee a team of technicians and engineers, ensuring adherence to safety standards, compliance with regulations, and optimal utilization of resources. Additionally, the role includes managing budgets, maintaining critical spares inventory, leveraging CMMS for effective documentation, and driving continuous improvement in plant maintenance processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and supervise maintenance engineers and technicians.
- Build a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous learning.
2. Maintenance Planning & Execution
- Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for electrical and mechanical systems.
- Ensure minimal downtime and maximum equipment reliability.
3. Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving
- Oversee diagnosis and resolution of mechanical/electrical breakdowns.
- Identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
4. System Improvement & Upgradation
- Drive improvements in equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Support design, development, and implementation of new systems, technologies, or modifications.
5. Compliance & Safety
- Ensure adherence to all safety norms, statutory regulations, and audit requirements.
- Conduct periodic risk assessments and enforce safe work practices.
6. Budget & Cost Control
- Prepare and monitor maintenance budgets.
- Optimize resource utilization while ensuring cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency.
7. Inventory & Spare Parts Management
- Maintain critical spare parts and tools inventory.
- Ensure availability of essential spares without overstocking.
8. Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and downtime history.
- Use CMMS/SAP for effective documentation, reporting, and workflow management.
9. Continuous Improvement
- Introduce best practices, new technologies, and process enhancements.
- Train the maintenance team in modern tools, techniques, and safety practices.
Education and Experience:

Bachelor of Technology - BTech with specialization in Mechanical Engineering and experience between 15 - 20 years
