Leadership and Supervision: Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians and engineers to ensure efficient operations. Provide guidance and training to junior staff and ensure the team adheres to safety and operational standards. Develop and implement a maintenance schedule, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal equipment performance. 2.Maintenance Strategy and Planning: Plan and oversee both preventive and corrective maintenance programs for all mechanical and electrical systems. Evaluate and improve the reliability, availability, and maintainability of critical equipment. Analyse failure patterns and implement strategies for long-term system improvements. Ensuring time to time planned maintenance of critical machine 3 Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Oversee the diagnosis and repair of electrical and mechanical failures or malfunctions. Ensure that issues are addressed promptly and that root causes are identified to prevent recurrence. Coordinate with other departments to identify potential risks and address emerging problems in a timely manner. Maintaining breakdown history of all critical machine & equipment’s. 4. System Design and Improvement: Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of new electrical and mechanical systems, equipment, or technology upgrades. Recommend improvements and cost-saving measures for existing systems. Collaborate with engineering and design teams on project implementations or system modifications. 5.Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with local, state, and national safety standards and regulations related to electrical and mechanical systems. Promote a culture of safety, ensuring that all staff adhere to proper protocols and procedures. Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments on all equipment. 6.Budgeting and Cost Management: Develop and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring efficient use of resources. Track expenses related to spare parts, repairs, and equipment upgrades. Identify opportunities for cost reduction while maintaining equipment reliability and operational effectiveness. 7. Inventory and Spare Parts Management: Oversee inventory management of critical spares and maintenance tools. Ensure that essential parts are always available for preventive and emergency maintenance. Optimize stock levels to avoid excess inventory while preventing stockouts. 8.Reporting and Documentation: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and inspections. Prepare and present reports on maintenance performance, downtime, and cost metrics for senior management. Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for documentation and workflow management 9.Continuous Improvement and Training: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes, reduce downtime, and increase efficiency. Ensure the team is trained in new systems, tools, and safety protocols. Qualification Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical or similar B. Tech Electrical/ Mechanical or similar Experience 1. Minimum 15 - 20 years of relevant experience Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical (15- 20 Years of Experience) B. Tech Electrical/ Mechanical (10 – 15 Years of Experience) And must have 2-3 years of experience inleadership roles (preferably from continuous process manufacturing industry). 2. Proficiency in maintenance management software (e.g., CMMS, SAP). Additional Skills Strong leadership and team management skills. In-depth knowledge of electrical and mechanical troubleshooting techniques. Familiarity with relevant safety standards and regulations. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
