Logistics Specialist

Job Overview:

We are looking for a highly organized and proactive individual to manage day-to-day logistics coordination, compare vendor options, arrange global shipments, follow up on pending tasks, and support onboarding of new vendors. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, efficient in communication, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

 Logistics Coordination:

o Arrange and coordinate pick-ups and shipments worldwide.

o Liaise with logistics partners, freight forwarders, and courier services.

o Track shipments and ensure timely delivery.

o Manage documentation related to shipping, customs, and compliance.

 Vendor Management:

o Conduct comparative analysis of logistics vendors (pricing, transit times, service quality).

o Support onboarding of new vendors, including documentation and communication.

o Maintain updated vendor databases and records.

 Operational Support:

o Perform follow-ups on pending quotes, shipments, payments, and documentation.

o Coordinate internally with procurement, sales, and finance teams.

o Prepare regular reports on logistics performance, cost comparisons, and shipment status.

 Communication & Documentation:

o Draft and respond to professional emails with vendors and internal teams.

o Maintain accurate logs, trackers, and reports.

 Data & Excel Skills:

o Create and manage spreadsheets in Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data cleanup, comparison sheets, basic formulas).

o Analyze logistics costs and performance metrics.

Qualifications & Skills:

 Prior experience in logistics coordination, supply chain, or operations preferred.

 Strong communication skills (email drafting & coordination).

 Proficiency in MS Excel and Google Sheets.

 Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.

 Detail-oriented, reliable, and proactive in follow-ups.

 Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Additional Preferences:

 Experience working with international shipments or freight forwarders.

 Familiarity with Incoterms, customs documentation, and export/import processes (preferred but not mandatory).
