Job Description

Allyn International is currently looking for a Logistics Specialist to join our organization!
Allyn is a privately-held professional services firm established in 1992. We are dedicated to providing high-quality, customer-centric services and solutions for the global marketplace. Our core products include transportation management, logistics sourcing, freight forwarding, supply chain consulting, tax management, and customs compliance. The Logistics Specialist is responsible for managing logistics activities in a manner that shall meet business fulfillment requirements in parallel with the goal of transportation cost reduction. The position is responsible for collecting and communicating all necessary information related to upcoming and ongoing shipments, projects, and services as well as providing logistics support, consulting, finding optimal modes and ways of transportation, and obtaining the best possible transportation rates. Responsibilities:

Route cargo by legal and customer requirements
Coordinate the routing process
Proactive approach to issue resolution and shipment responsibility
Research and subject matter expertise in the field of logistics and transportation.
Actively use of Allyn Logistics Application (ALA).
Communication with carriers, shippers, consignees, clients, and internal communication within the team.
Transport regulations compliance management, including permitting, over-dimensional and hazardous cargo.
Monitoring and tracking the shipments and keeping client informed about the status.
Capture all costs associated with a shipment.
Actively look and capture savings opportunities and added value opportunities when possible
Provide excellent customer service to Allyn customers.

Education & Requirements:

Fluent in English
Secondary school or University degree – specialization in Logistics preferred
Experience in handling shipments to Domestic Trucking.
Knowledge of KSA Domestic operations (not mandatory).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently as well as within the team.
