Trade Compliance - Global Trade Compliance Specialist

As a Global Trade Compliance Specialist at Allyn International Services, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient and compliant movement of goods across borders. With our global presence and extensive services, you will have the opportunity to work with clients from various industries and provide expert guidance on trade compliance matters. Your primary responsibility will involve liaising with clients" customs brokers to facilitate timely customs clearance. You will review, validate, and approve shipping requests, ensuring adherence to import and export compliance regulations. Managing customs consultants and brokers, you will oversee the entry of goods, maintaining a high level of compliance while optimizing costs. Your expertise will be instrumental in providing regulatory interpretation and guidance on a range of trade compliance areas, including Anti-boycott/Restrictive Trade Practices, Export Control Classification, Export Licensing, and Customs Clearance. By developing customized compliance programs, you will address client-specific needs and ensure seamless operations. In this role, you will conduct audits to assess clients" export/import compliance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions where necessary. Your ability to gather and analyze data will support informed decision-making, potentially impacting sourcing strategies and cost-saving opportunities. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will interface with clients, suppliers, and vendors to optimize processes and drive efficiency. You will also engage in ad hoc projects across the organization, contributing your expertise and insights to enhance operational effectiveness.
