The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 2-7 years of relevant experience in this field. As a Global Trade Compliance Specialist at Allyn International Services, your responsibilities will include: - Providing instructions to clients" customs brokers as needed to ensure timely customs clearance. - Reviewing, validating, and approving shipping requests for import and export compliance in adherence to detailed documented procedures. - Managing clients" customs consultants and brokers to ensure compliant, efficient, and cost-effective entry of goods, monitoring their performance against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). - Offering regulatory interpretation and guidance on various areas such as Anti-boycott/Restrictive Trade Practices, Export Control Classification, Compliance training, Customs Valuation, and more. - Resolving shipment holds by gathering required information for customs brokers and issuing clearance instructions. - Ensuring accurate product tariff classification and valuation information. - Developing and implementing customized compliance programs tailored to specific client requirements. - Generating regular reports as necessary and conducting audits to assess export/import compliance, recommending corrective actions where needed. - Collaborating with clients, suppliers, vendors, and various teams across the organization on project-based initiatives. - Identifying cost-saving opportunities and evaluating current processes to suggest improvements for enhanced efficiency and productivity.
