Logistics Specialist

As a Logistics Specialist at the company, your role will involve organizing and managing logistics activities to ensure safe and on-time delivery of procured equipment. You will actively coordinate with procurement, project management, and lead discipline specialists/engineers to facilitate timely delivery of all procured items and equipment. Your contribution will be essential in the development of the E&C Logistics organization, tools, and procedures to maintain global standards and ensure smooth supply chain execution of E&C projects. Additionally, you will support the Supplier Business Function during the proposal phase of projects. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure accurate documentation for export/import purposes - Negotiate with vendors directly or support the team during negotiations for the entire logistics requirement - Finalize and supervise export standard packing and documentation - Coordinate with regulatory authorities and customs for successful export and import clearance - Liaise with DGFT and JDGFT for obtaining licenses and certificates - Coordinate with various trade councils for certificate renewals and issue resolutions - Provide support for insurance matters and claim management - Identify, track, and report key performance indicators and metrics - Support project teams in meeting PPP targets and ensuring compliance with customs requirements - Possess knowledge of Incoterms, operations, and import/export documents - Capable of understanding technical engineering drawings and reviewing them Qualifications Required: - Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering; Management Degree/Professional Degree/Diploma in Materials Management/Supply Chain Management/Logistics/Transportation. Discipline: Materials Management/Supply Chain Management - Work Experience: 10 to 15 years of logistics experience with at least 3 years in a senior management position at a global level in a mid-sized multinational EPC company.
