Job Overview: The Junior Accountant at Studio 5 India will assist in managing daily financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.This role requires attention to detail, basic financial knowledge, and a proactive approach to supporting financial operations within the organization. Key Responsibilities: Financial Transactions & Record Keeping Record and maintain financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, payments, and journal entries. Assist in processing accounts payable and accounts receivable. Reconcile bank statements and vendor accounts to ensure accuracy. Financial Reporting & Analysis Assist in preparing financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements. Support senior accountants in analyzing financial data and generating reports. Ensure timely and accurate recording of transactions for reporting purposes. Budgeting & Forecasting Support budget preparation by collecting and organizing financial data. Monitor expenses and assist in identifying budget variances. Help prepare budget vs. actual reports for management review. Taxation & Compliance Assist in preparing tax returns, GST filings, and TDS calculations. Ensure adherence to accounting standards and tax regulations. Support internal audits by maintaining proper financial documentation. Internal Controls & Process Improvement Follow established accounting policies and procedures to maintain financial integrity. Assist in identifying process gaps and suggesting improvements. Work with cross-functional teams to support smooth financial operations. Must-Haves: Bachelor's degree in Commerce or Accounting. Basic knowledge of GST, TDS, and Indian tax regulations. Familiarity with accounting software like Tally. Good working knowledge of MS Excel and financial documentation. Strong organizational and time management skills. Add-Ons: Internship or prior experience (up to 1 year) in a finance or accounting role. Exposure to audit processes and financial reporting tools.
