Application Development Project Manager – Innovations Team

Position Summary
NetImpact Strategies is seeking an experienced Application Development Project Manager to lead and coordinate the efforts of our custom application development team . This team is responsible for developing and maintaining custom business applications across a range of platforms including Microsoft , ServiceNow , and AWS . The Project Manager will own the delivery lifecycle—from requirements definition through testing and rollout—while collaborating closely with business stakeholders and technical leads.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to define and document detailed functional and technical requirements.
- Translate business needs into actionable technical specifications for the development team.
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, resource allocations, and deliverables.
- Lead sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.
- Monitor development progress to ensure milestones and quality expectations are met.
- Coordinate daily with development team.
- Ensure alignment of tasks, priorities, and timelines across time zones.
- Provide clear guidance and resolve blockers for developers and testers.
- Write or oversee the creation of test plans and test cases.
- Coordinate system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and regression testing activities.
- Ensure high-quality deliverables that meet performance and security standards.
- Plan and manage go-live schedules, deployment checklists, and communications.
- Provide post-deployment support and issue resolution.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between business users and the Development Team.
- Provide regular updates on project status, risks, and issues.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science , Information Systems, or related field.
- 7 + years of experience managing software/application development projects.
- Hands-on experience with Agile and/or hybrid project methodologies.
- Strong skills in project planning and risk management.
- Ability to communicate with Senior Level stakeholders
- Ability to execute delivery on time and with excellent quality
- Experience working with geographically distributed teams
- Familiarity with Microsoft platforms (e.g., Power Platform, .NET) , ServiceNow , and/or AWS
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Commercial software product development and management experience
- PMP, CSM, or equivalent project management certification.
- Prior experience with ServiceNow development lifecycle.
- Experience with Microsoft DevOps, Jira, or similar tools.
- Background in Federal or regulated IT environments.
- Exposure to UX/UI principles and accessibility standards.
