Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 8+ years of progressive IT experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a team leadership or managerial capacity.
- Proven experience in:
- System administration (Windows/Linux)
- Active Directory & Group Policy
- Google Workspace administration
- Network infrastructure and firewall management
- Endpoint management and IT support services
- Strong understanding of security frameworks, especially ISO 27001, and regulatory IT compliance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and troubleshooting skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in financial services, fintech, or other regulated industries.
- Familiarity with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- ITIL Foundation certification or similar service management framework.
- Exposure to endpoint management tools (e.g., Microsoft Intune, Jamf).
- Experience with SIEM tools or centralized logging (e.g., Splunk, ELK stack).
Key Responsibilities
IT Operations & Team Leadership
- Lead and manage the local IT team covering helpdesk, infrastructure, and systems functions.
- Ensure 24/7 availability and performance of IT systems, including hardware, software, and networking.
- Act as the final escalation point for technical issues and provide hands-on support when required.
- Oversee IT onboarding and offboarding; enforce access control policies and role-based permissions.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets, licenses, and configurations.
System Administration
- Administer and maintain on-premise and cloud-based servers (Windows/Linux).
- Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and system patching.
- Maintain and support Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 services.
- Ensure system resilience through backups, regular testing, and capacity planning.
- Implement and manage device compliance, software deployment, and policy enforcement.
Network & Firewall Management
- Oversee LAN/WAN operations, including switches, routers, firewalls, enterprise Wi‑Fi, and VPNs.
- Manage enterprise-grade firewalls (e.g., Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco) and ensure secure perimeter configurations.
- Monitor network performance, resolve bottlenecks, and implement redundancy strategies.
- Coordinate upgrades, network segmentation, and secure remote access controls.
Cybersecurity & Compliance
- Enforce corporate cybersecurity policies locally to ensure secure infrastructure and endpoints.
- Deploy and monitor endpoint protection, MFA, data loss prevention (DLP), and patch management.
- Support internal audits and maintain compliance with frameworks such as ISO 27001.
- Assist in the development and execution of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Log and respond to security events and coordinate with the global Security Operations Center (SOC).
Vendor & Procurement Management
- Maintain relationships with local IT vendors, ISPs, and service providers.
- Oversee IT procurement, license renewals, and hardware/software budgeting.
- Ensure cost-effective operations while maintaining enterprise-grade service reliability.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with global IT, DevOps, and Information Security teams on shared infrastructure and cloud initiatives.
- Provide insights into technology improvements from a local operational perspective.
- Report regularly on IT metrics, system performance, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership.
