Job Summary

International Business Development Manager


Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities for pharmaceutical exports in global markets.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, distributors, and healthcare partners across regions.
  • Manage, guide, and monitor a team of

    International Business Development Executives (BDEs)

    to achieve sales and market expansion targets.
  • Handle B2B and B2C inquiries, quotations, negotiations, and closures.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (regulatory, logistics, production, finance) for smooth order execution.
  • Conduct detailed market research to identify new territories, potential clients, and pricing trends.
  • Develop and implement region-wise business strategies to achieve company objectives.
  • Represent the company at international trade fairs, exhibitions, and virtual meetings.
  • Prepare and present periodic reports on sales performance, forecasts, and team productivity.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or Business Management (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum

    5–8 years of experience

    in

    international business development/export marketing

    in the

    pharma sector

    , with at least

    1–2 years of team management experience.

  • Strong understanding of international pharma regulations, export documentation, and market dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
  • Strong analytical and strategic planning abilities.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of handling multiple international markets simultaneously.
