Job Description

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for generating qualified leads, responding to customer inquiries, preparing quotations, coordinating with production and logistics teams, and supporting field sales activities. The role ensures timely communication, customer satisfaction, and conversion of enquiries into sales.

Roles & Responsibilities

A. Lead Management & Customer Communication

  • Handle inbound calls, emails, and online enquiries from contractors, EPC companies, government departments, builders, and channel partners.
  • Follow up on enquiries and quotations to drive conversion.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and support new customer onboarding.
  • Conduct regular follow-up calls to understand customer needs, project timelines, and approval status.

B. Sales Coordination

  • Prepare and send quotations, techno-commercial proposals, and pricing sheets.
  • Coordinate with design, production, and stores teams to confirm feasibility, lead time, and material availability.
  • Support field sales executives by scheduling meetings, arranging site visits, and gathering required documents.

C. Order Processing & Documentation

  • Convert approved quotations into sales orders and ensure accurate order entry.
  • Prepare sales reports, daily follow-up reports, and customer interaction logs.
  • Maintain and update CRM/ERP entries regularly.

D. Market Research & Intelligence

  • Track competitor pricing, new products, and market requirements.
  • Maintain database of contractors, builders, and government tenders.
  • Identify new business opportunities within allocated market segments.

E. Customer Support

  • Provide pre-sales and post-sales support including product information, technical data, and delivery status.
  • Resolve customer issues quickly by coordinating with internal teams.
  • Ensure timely dispatch of materials and share delivery updates with customers.

3. Key Skills Required

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Good understanding of pole manufacturing products (MS poles, octagonal poles, swaged poles, streetlight poles, high mast poles, etc.) — training can be provided.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, CRM, and email communication.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under deadlines.
  • Basic technical understanding of drawings, dimensions, and product specifications.

4. Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.Com / BBA / BE / Diploma Preferred).
  • 1–3 years of inside sales experience, preferably in manufacturing / construction / electrical / infrastructure products.
  • Freshers with strong communication skills may also be considered.
