Human Resources Generalist


Summary

The HR Generalist plays a pivotal role in supporting all human resources practices and processes, with a strong emphasis on administrative tasks and activities. The role involves managing various HR functions, such as employee relations, HR policies & procedures, performance management, payroll & benefits, and annual HR programs. Additionally, the HR Generalist will support organizational administration, such as maintaining org charts, coordinating events, and assisting with onboarding/offboarding, employee engagement, and other HR-related initiatives.

This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for HR-related queries, managing the day-to-day HR activities. The HR Generalist reports to the Director, HR Operations, and partners with the Director, Offshore Delivery and the HR team in India. The individual will be expected to work in a hybrid setup from our Hyderabad location (minimum three days a week in the office).


Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Duties:

    Perform administrative tasks such as creating, maintaining, and organizing HR documents, reports, and forms. Update and manage company organizational charts on a regular basis.
  • Onboarding & Offboarding:

    Coordinate onboarding for new hires, including background checks, preparing orientation plans, conducting orientation sessions, and ensuring smooth offboarding processes.
  • Event Organization:

    Plan and organize internal HR-related events, including employee engagement programs, recognition events, and other activities that foster a strong company culture.
  • Payroll & Benefits Administration:

    Process semi-monthly payroll, administer employee benefits and manage STD/LTD cases, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Data Management:

    Ensure data accuracy across all HR systems (HRIS, recruitment tools, benefits platforms) and maintain up-to-date employee records in compliance with company policies and audit standards.
  • HR Program Support:

    Assist in the development, administration, and tracking of HR programs such as performance management, compensation planning, and training & development. Assist in implementing and supporting HR programs, including supporting DE&I initiatives and employee recognition programs. Support performance management initiatives such as goal/objective setting, performance development plans, and performance improvement plans
  • Policy Management:

    Create, update, and maintain HR policies and programs, ensuring they comply with legislative standards for all geographical locations of the business.
  • Business Reporting:

    Prepare reports, presentations, memorandums, proposals, and other HR-related correspondence as required. Support in developing and maintaining a range of business analytics and reporting dashboards.
  • Compliance & Audits:

    Ensure employee files comply with internal and external audit standards (ISO, SOC, Financial). Assist with audit preparations and ensure adherence to all applicable employment legislation.


Qualifications & Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in Human Resources, with at least 3+ years in a Generalist or similar role.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualifications in Human Resources, Business Management, or relevant field.
  • Experience managing recruitment and selection processes.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of applicable HR & Legal legislations.
  • Proficiency with payroll (ADP preferably) and HRIS systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong customer service focus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs and cloud-based systems (Bamboo HR, Slack, MS Teams, Keka etc.).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • A collaborative team player with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Experience with North American Organizations will be considered an asset.
