Job Description: HR Executive – Legal Tech

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and people-focused HR Executive to join our fast-growing Legal Tech team. The ideal candidate will manage core HR functions while supporting a culture of innovation, compliance, and excellence. You will work closely with leadership, legal professionals, and tech teams to ensure seamless HR operations and a strong employee experience.

Key Responsibilities1. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for tech, legal, and business roles.
  • Source candidates through job portals, social media, and networking.
  • Conduct initial screenings and coordinate interview rounds.
  • Develop and execute structured onboarding for new hires.

2. HR Operations & Compliance

  • Maintain employee records, HR databases, and HRMS systems.
  • Ensure adherence to labour laws, company policies, and industry-specific compliance (beneficial for legal and regulated sectors).
  • Assist in drafting and updating HR policies, employment agreements, NDAs, and compliance documentation.
  • Coordinate payroll inputs, leaves, and attendance.

3. Employee Engagement & Culture

  • Plan and execute engagement programs, team-building events, and recognition activities.
  • Resolve employee queries and promote a positive work environment.
  • Support initiatives that improve company culture, performance, and retention.

4. Performance Management

  • Assist in implementing appraisal cycles, KPIs/OKRs, and feedback processes.
  • Support managers in evaluating performance and identifying development needs.

5. Training & Development

  • Identify skill gaps across legal, tech, and operational teams.
  • Coordinate training sessions, workshops, and learning programs.

6. HR Analytics & Reporting

  • Prepare dashboards and reports on hiring, attrition, performance, and engagement.
  • Use data to support decision-making and optimize HR processes.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or MBA in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 1–4 years of HR experience (preferably in tech, legal services, or startups).
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, recruitment, and compliance.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
  • Proficiency with HRMS software and MS Office/Google Workspace.

Preferred (Not Mandatory)

  • Experience working in a Legal Tech, SaaS, or similar high-growth environment.
  • Familiarity with legal industry job roles (paralegals, legal associates, compliance teams, etc.).
  • Basic understanding of labour laws and contractual documentation.
