Job Description

Job Summary

The Sales Head will lead the complete sales function for the Solar EPC division, driving revenue growth, strategic partnerships, and market expansion. This role involves developing sales strategies, building a high-performance sales team, meeting business targets, and ensuring strong client relationships in the rooftop and ground-mounted solar EPC segment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and execute short-term and long-term sales strategies to meet organizational revenue targets.
  • Identify new market segments, customer groups, and business opportunities.
  • Forecast sales targets, budgets, and resource requirements.

2. Business Development

  • Generate leads from commercial, industrial, institutional, and government clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Represent the company in industry forums, exhibitions, and client meetings.

3. Team Leadership

  • Build, train, and manage a high-performing sales team.
  • Set KPIs, monitor performance, and drive accountability.
  • Motivate and mentor team members to achieve targets.

4. Proposal & Tender Management

  • Oversee proposal development, techno-commercial offers, BOQs, and pricing strategies.
  • Lead tender identification, submission, and negotiation for government and private EPC projects.

5. Client Handling & Negotiation

  • Conduct client meetings, presentations, and site visits.
  • Negotiate contracts, payment terms, and project scope with customers.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.

6. Coordination with Internal Teams

  • Collaborate with engineering, design, procurement, and project execution teams.
  • Ensure smooth project handover after order closure.

7. Market Intelligence

  • Monitor competitor activities, industry trends, and policy changes (MNRE, state solar policies).
  • Analyze market data to support strategic decisions.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of solar EPC
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to build client trust and long-term business relationships
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities
  • Target-driven mindset with strategic thinking
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office, and proposal drafting

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (MBA preferred)
  • 7–12 years

    of experience in solar EPC sales
  • Proven track record of achieving multi-crore sales targets
  • Experience in industrial/commercial C&I customers is an advantage
