Head of Human Resources


Job Overview

The HR Head is the senior most role in the HR function. It will be primarily responsible for recruiting high-potential candidates, creating processes and systems in HR that impact the entire organization (from hire to retire cycle), and driving a performance-driven culture with the help of the founders and the CEO.


Key Responsibilities

This is a planning and execution role. Understanding the current set-up, executing incremental improvement steps in the short term, and planning & execution of the long-term HR goals will be a critical success factor for this role


  • Drive a performance-driven culture with the help of a suitable compensation framework, training, and employee engagement activities
  • Create and execute processes in recruitment, onboarding, training, and employee engagement
  • Guide the organization as it transforms itself from a family-owned business to a professionally managed company that is planning to go for IPO within the year.
  • Roll out organization-wide policies
  • Create a roadmap to brand the company as the ‘Best Places to Work’ in its true sense!
  • Leverage technology to build efficient and scalable processes
  • Represent the organization in various HR forums and events
  • Lead and manage the HR function
  • Guide the IR person to ensure compliance with all legal, environmental, and safety regulations in the workshops/depots


Key Skills & Competencies


  • Proven experience in setting up and scaling HR processes in a well-funded start-up or mid-sized organization
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, &

    impactful leadership qualities

    .!!
  • Data-driven decision-making capability
  • Experience in managing a

    blue-collar workforce

    will be an advantage


Qualifications/Experience:

  • MBA in HR and/or a degree in Industrial Relations
  • Experience with

    NSE-listed

    (min. one)/

    prior IPO listing

    organization is a must to have..!!
  • Minimum of 15 years’ experience

    with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
  • Experience in companies like M&M, Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, Eicher, etc., will be an advantage
