Drive Category Profitability & Sales Growth · Ensure healthy category margins by selecting and promoting the optimal mix of products and services. · Leverage market data and field insights to drive sales among village-level entrepreneurs and end consumers. 2. Strategic Sourcing & Product Feasibility · Identify and onboard suitable product and service partners through detailed feasibility studies and demand analysis. · Use consumer behavior insights to curate product assortments that cater to rural needs, affordability, and relevance. 3. Field Pilots & Consumer Research Programs · Design and execute pilot programs to test new products or services in rural areas. · Conduct qualitative and quantitative research involving entrepreneurs, retailers, and consumers to gather feedback, expressions, and user behavior data. 4. Category Planning & Execution · Develop and implement short-term and long-term product category plans aligned with the organization's mission and marketing strategy. · Track and evaluate category performance, adjusting tactics based on feedback and market shifts. 5. Product Training & Knowledge Dissemination · Design and deliver periodic product training sessions for sales teams and village entrepreneurs. · Develop comprehensive training material including case studies, user guides, brochures, and reference tools. 6. Vendor Identification & Assessment · Screen, assess, and finalize product/service vendors using structured benchmarks including quality, pricing, delivery reliability, and social impact. · Maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure consistency and accountability in supply. 7. Pricing Strategy & Social Impact Modelling · Co-create category pricing models with partners based on competitive analysis, historic data, forecast demand, and target consumer affordability. · Ensure pricing aligns with both business viability and rural community value.
