Head of Finance and Accounting

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Manager (CA Qualified) to join our client’s finance team based in Dubai, UAE. In this role, you will oversee financial operations, ensure compliance with IFRS and VAT regulations, and drive process efficiency across accounting functions. You will manage reporting, budgeting, taxation, and treasury activities while leading and mentoring the finance team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical and leadership abilities, financial acumen, and a commitment to operational excellence.

Duties and Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Compliance: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; ensure compliance with IFRS, VAT, and statutory requirements; coordinate audits and liaise with auditors.

Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop and monitor budgets and forecasts; analyze variances; provide data-driven insights to support business strategy and cost optimization.

Taxation & Regulatory: Oversee corporate tax and VAT filings; ensure timely submission and regulatory compliance; stay updated on tax changes and implement accordingly.

Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage billing, collections, vendor payments, and credit control; improve processes to optimize working capital and cash conversion.

Treasury & Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow, banking, and funding needs; manage relationships with banks and financial institutions; optimize liquidity and working capital usage.

Internal Controls & Process Improvement: Strengthen internal controls, establish SOPs, enforce policy compliance, and drive ERP/MIS system efficiency.

Team Leadership & Development: Supervise and mentor the accounts team; foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce.

Required Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) — mandatory.

Preferred Qualification: MBA in Finance.

Experience: 7–10 years in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems, MIS, MS Office, and accounting software.

Preferred Industry Experience

Mandatory: Accounting or Finance within commercial or service industries.

Preferred: Rental or real estate industry experience.

Language Proficiency

Mandatory: English (spoken and written).

Preferred: Arabic or Hindi (an advantage).

Workdays & Timing: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
