Location: Gurugram (On-site) Experience: Minimum 3 years Reporting to: Managing Partner The Head of Finance & Accounting will be responsible for end-to-end financial governance across the fund, investee companies, and family office structures. This is a leadership role requiring deep expertise in taxation, compliance, audits, investment accounting, and capital allocation, along with strong analytical capabilities in investment evaluation and portfolio monitoring. The role demands a hands-on professional with strong ownership, regulatory understanding, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced investment environment. Key Responsibilities 1. Taxation and Regulatory Compliance Oversee and ensure timely ITR filings for the fund, family office entities, and related structures. Manage end-to-end GST compliance , including filings, reconciliations, notices, and audits. Handle TDS compliance , including deductions, challans, returns, and Form 16/16A issuance. Coordinate with external tax advisors and consultants for complex assessments and litigation matters. Ensure compliance with Income Tax Act , GST laws , Companies Act , and applicable SEBI regulations. 2. Fund and Investment accounting Maintain accurate accounting of fund-level expenses , management fees, operating costs, and reimbursements. Monitor capital calls, drawdowns, distributions, and waterfall calculations. Ensure correct accounting treatment for investments, exits, impairments, and write-offs. Prepare periodic financial statements, MIS reports, and investor-ready dashboards. 3. Audit and Financial Control Lead statutory audits , internal audits, and tax audits for the fund and investee companies. Review and strengthen financial controls, accounting policies, and SOPs across portfolio entities. Act as the primary point of contact for auditors, legal advisors, and regulatory bodies. Ensure clean audit reports and timely closure of audit observations. 4. Investment analysis and Equity Research Support the investment team with financial modelling , valuation analysis, and deal structuring. Conduct equity research , sector analysis, and financial benchmarking for potential investments. Evaluate investment proposals, term sheets, and return scenarios. Monitor portfolio performance and prepare investment review reports for internal committees. 5 . Family Office Investment Management Track and manage investments across listed equities, unlisted shares, private equity, AIFs, and other asset classes. Prepare consolidated portfolio reports, performance analysis, and asset allocation summaries. Support strategic capital allocation decisions and long-term wealth planning initiatives. Ensure tax-efficient structuring and reporting of family office investments.
