Role Overview:

Head of Design

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the 

  entire design and drafting team

  , ensuring timely and accurate delivery of engineering drawings and 3D models.
• Oversee the 

  design and detailing

   of equipment like 

  pressure reactors, Nutsche filters, flow systems, skid-mounted assemblies, and heat exchangers

  .
• Ensure compliance with 

  international design standards and codes

   (e.g., ASME, DIN, IS, CE, ATEX where applicable).
• Review and approve mechanical drawings, P&IDs, GA drawings, and fabrication details.
• Collaborate with the 

  sales, production, quality, and R&D teams

   to ensure design feasibility, manufacturability, and performance.
• Drive 

  CAD/CAE optimization, BOM standardization, and design automation initiatives

• Mentor the design team on 

  best practices, new tools, and design methodologies

  .
• Support client interactions during technical discussions, design finalization, and customization reviews.
• Evaluate and implement 

  design software upgrades

   and digital tools to improve productivity and innovation.

Key Requirements:

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

   (mandatory)
•  MTech from IIT or Similarly recognized foreign universities. 

• 12–20 years

   of experience in equipment design, preferably in 

  process plant equipment or capital goods industry

  .
• Strong working knowledge of 

  pressure vessels, rotating equipment, heat exchangers, and fluid systems

  .
• Proficiency in 

  SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and other 3D/2D CAD tools

  .
• Good understanding of 

  material selection, GD&T, stress analysis, and welding standards

  .
• Proven experience in 

  leading and mentoring design teams

  .
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
