Head of Design

Role Overview: As the Head of Design for Jackets at Zeel Clothing Pvt. Ltd., you will be responsible for leading the complete design function for Jackets. Your role involves developing seasonal collections, driving innovation aligned with market trends, and maintaining the brand identity. Key Responsibilities: - Create seasonal concepts, trend boards, and design directions for Jacket collections. - Develop styles from sketch to final sample with a strong focus on fit, functionality, and aesthetics. - Select fabrics, trims, and accessories suitable for outdoor/winter/rainwear jackets. - Review prototypes, conduct fit sessions, and approve final samples. - Conduct market research and competitor study to identify new trends and opportunities. - Work closely with Merchandising, Production, and Sourcing teams for timely execution. - Lead and mentor the design team, ensuring creativity and commercial viability. Qualification Required: - 15-20 years of experience in Jacket/Outerwear design. - Strong technical knowledge of garment construction, patterns, and finishing. - Expertise in Adobe Illustrator/CorelDRAW and tech-pack creation. - Creative, trend-driven, detail-oriented, and strong in team leadership.
