Description
ScrapQ is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Senior Manager – Sales & Distribution to lead customer acquisition, subscription growth, channel partnerships, and B2B scrap sourcing. The role demands strong understanding of on-ground operations, distribution strategy, supply chain coordination, and revenue growth.
1. Sales Strategy & Revenue GrowthCreate and execute month-wise and quarter-wise sales plans.
Drive subscription-based revenue models (Household ₹299, HORECA ₹799/₹1099).
Achieve targets for household pickups, HORECA tie-ups, corporate contracts, and railway recyclables.
Identify high-potential geographies for rapid expansion.
2. Channel Development & Distribution NetworkBuild and manage distribution partners for large scrap flows.
Establish local scrap aggregators, bulk buyers, dealer networks, and recycler relationships.
Improve efficiency of material movement from stations/households/HORECA to yards.
Set up micro-collection hubs in high-density areas for faster logistics.
3. Team Leadership & Field ManagementLead a team of sales executives, tele-callers, field agents, and collection partners.
Recruit, train, motivate, and monitor team performance.
Ensure daily beat plans, lead management, and conversion ratios meet targets.
Conduct weekly performance reviews and set clear KRAs/KPIs.
4. Customer Acquisition & Key Account ManagementDrive large B2B partnerships with corporates, warehouses, factories, HORECA chains, and institutions.
Develop long-term relationships with bulk scrap generators.
Negotiate pricing, service level agreements, and yearly scrap supply commitments.
Resolve escalations and ensure smooth service for all clients.
5. Subscription Growth EngineBuild a scalable plan for 25,000 household subscriptions and 1,000 HORECA subscriptions.
Develop tele-calling scripts, field sales pitches, promotional materials, and digital lead funnels.
Monitor subscription churn, renewal rates, and service delivery alignment.
Drive incentives to improve monthly subscription onboarding.
6. Coordination With Operations & TechnologyWork with operations to ensure seamless pickup logistics and service reliability.
Collaborate with tech teams to improve the ScrapQ app (subscription module, routing, customer notifications, CRM).
Provide market feedback for new features and product enhancements.
7. Pricing, Forecasting & Market IntelligenceTrack competitor pricing, market trends, recyclable rates, and demand cycles.
Maintain projections for monthly scrap volumes, revenue, and margins.
Optimize customer-level profitability and ensure cost-per-call stays within targets.
8. Compliance, Documentation & ReportingEnsure all sales processes follow company SOPs and government waste-management guidelines.
Maintain proper documentation for HORECA partnerships, corporate MoUs, and aggregator agreements.
Prepare weekly dashboards, MIS, sales forecasts, performance updates, and collection analytics.
Key Skills & CompetenciesStrong sales leadership & target orientation
Excellent negotiation and closing skills
Experience in FMCG/Logistics/Waste Management/Distribution preferred
Ability to build and scale field-intensive networks
Data-driven with strong working knowledge of Excel/MIS
Ability to work with cross-functional teams
Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills
Educational QualificationGraduate / MBA (preferred but not mandatory)
Experience in sales, distribution, field operations, or recycling will be highly valued
