Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a General Manager Industrial Services at our Vasai Office location. The General Manager will oversee daily operations, ensure efficient and effective service delivery, and manage the industrial services team. Responsibilities include planning and implementing service strategies, maintaining client relationships, monitoring performance metrics, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The General Manager will also be responsible for budgeting, resource allocation, and leading initiatives to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.

Technical skills
- Ability to understand and interpret parameters that affect membrane performance like fouling/ scaling and how recoveries are impacted
- Understand the behaviour of pumps and ability to interpret pump curves
- Good knowledge of electrical circuitry and functions of control panels, VFD, smps, instrumentations and their future possibilities
- Good knowledge of pre-treatment processes and post treatment remedies
- Knowledge of ZLD operations to understand premature failure of membranes
- Good knowledge of submerged UFs
- Comprehensive understanding of pH controls and impact of high/ low pH
- Knowledge of piping MOCs to use for various RO applications
- Well versed with PID and their implementation
Primary Responsibilities
1. Operational Management:
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for site operations.
- Establish KPIs to measure operational success and implement continuous improvement strategies.
- Monitor the performance of the sites, ensuring that all departments (maintenance, security, utilities, etc.) work cohesively to meet operational goals.
- Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring that processes are running smoothly and efficiently.
- Coordinate with site managers to ensure the availability of resources (human, material, etc.) for site operations.
2. Maintenance Oversight:
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies to ensure that all machinery, infrastructure, and systems are well-maintained.
- Lead the development of preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and operational disruptions.
- Manage the team responsible for repair, upgrades, and regular inspections of site assets.
- Ensure timely response to maintenance issues and supervise corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
3. Team Leadership and Development:
- Provide leadership and direction to operations and maintenance teams across all sites.
- Foster a collaborative work environment that encourages team development, employee engagement, and productivity.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide training and development opportunities for staff to enhance skills and improve efficiency.
4. Budgeting and Financial Management:
- Manage the operational and maintenance budget, ensuring cost efficiency and adherence to financial targets.
- Oversee procurement of equipment, tools, and materials necessary for site maintenance and operations.
- Review and approve contracts for outsourced services, including repairs, facility upgrades, and external suppliers.
5. Health, Safety, and Compliance:
- Ensure all sites operate in compliance with regulatory standards, particularly in safety, health, and environmental matters.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure the implementation of safety measures and emergency protocols.
- Regularly review safety audits, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective measures as necessary.
6. Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, internal teams, senior management, and external partners.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for any operational or maintenance issues at the site.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders (contractors, vendors, regulatory bodies, etc.) to ensure smooth operations and compliance.
7. Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare and present reports to senior management on operational and maintenance activities, performance, and cost analysis.
- Maintain accurate records of site operations, maintenance activities, safety checks, and inventory management.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership for improvements in operational efficiency and maintenance planning.
Experience
20 years plus of which 5 years must be at senior management level
Qualifications
- B.E. or B.Tech. in the field of Mechanical or Chemical. MBA will be added advantage

- Experience in industrial service operations and project management
- Strong knowledge of Zero Liquid Discharge and water reuse systems
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field
