Role Overview

The Financial Accountant is a hands-on finance role responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, statutory compliance, and support for audits and management reporting for the group company.

The role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams. This position is ideal for a finance professional who is comfortable handling transactional accounting while also supporting controls, reconciliations, and financial discipline.

Accounting & Bookkeeping (Zoho Books – Core System)

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date books of accounts exclusively using

    Zoho Books

    , including journals, vouchers, ledgers, and chart of accounts
  • Record daily financial transactions in Zoho Books with proper classification and documentation
  • Manage

    Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

    modules within Zoho Books
  • Track customer invoices, collections, credit notes, and follow-ups directly in Zoho Books in coordination with sales and operations teams

Billing, Invoicing & Revenue Tracking (Zoho Books)

  • Prepare, issue, and manage customer invoices for training programs, certifications, and corporate engagements using Zoho Books Invoicing
  • Ensure accurate revenue recognition and tagging of income streams within Zoho Books
  • Monitor outstanding receivables, aging reports, and customer balances through Zoho Books dashboards
  • Reconcile invoicing data between Zoho Books, CRM, and operational records

Bank, Cash & Reconciliations

  • Perform bank reconciliations, cash reconciliations, and inter-account reconciliations within Zoho Books
  • Monitor bank feeds, deposits, payments, and balances using Zoho Books banking features
  • Coordinate with banks for routine transactions and ensure timely updates in the system

Taxation, Compliance & Statutory Support (Zoho Books)

  • Manage UAE VAT configuration, calculation, and reporting in Zoho Books
  • Prepare VAT reports and support VAT filings with accurate system data
  • Maintain audit-ready records in Zoho Books for VAT inspections and statutory reviews
  • Assist internal and external auditors by extracting schedules and reports directly from Zoho Books

Payroll & Expense Coordination

  • Coordinate payroll-related inputs (attendance, incentives, reimbursements) and reflect entries accurately in Zoho Books
  • Review and verify employee expense claims using Zoho Books expense modules
  • Support gratuity and end-of-service benefit calculations with finance records

Reporting & MIS Support

  • Generate periodic MIS reports from Zoho Books, including:
  • Revenue and expense summaries
  • Receivables and payables aging
  • Cash flow statements
  • Support monthly and year-end closing activities within Zoho Books
  • Provide management with accurate financial data and analysis extracted from the system

Process & Control Support

  • Ensure strict adherence to internal financial controls and approval workflows configured in Zoho Books
  • Identify accounting discrepancies, process gaps, and improvement opportunities
  • Support finance process automation, documentation, and optimization within the Zoho ecosystem

Core Accounting Skills & Competencies

  • Strong hands-on expertise in

    Zoho Books (mandatory)

  • Sound understanding of accounting principles, controls, and financial reporting
  • Practical experience with invoicing, reconciliations, VAT, and ledger management in Zoho Books
  • Good knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and compliance
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and data integrity
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet reporting deadlines

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Mandatory) in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field
  • Strong proficiency in Zoho Accounting, Microsoft Excel and MS Office
  • 5+ years of accounting experience

    with proven hands-on usage of Zoho Books
  • Prior experience in education, training, professional services, or consulting preferred
  • Working knowledge of payroll processing and statutory requirements
  • Candidates without Zoho Books experience will not be considered
