Job Summary:

Finance Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support organizational goals and improve overall financial health.
  • Manage internal controls, audits, and compliance with statutory requirements, including tax, GST, and regulatory filings.
  • Analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights to senior management.
  • Coordinate with banks, financial institutions, and external auditors.
  • Monitor working capital and optimize resource allocation to ensure cost-efficiency.
  • Lead the finance team, provide mentorship, and ensure continuous professional development.
  • Support strategic decision-making by conducting financial modeling and risk analysis.
  • Implement and maintain ERP/accounting software systems for efficient reporting and accuracy.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • MBA in Finance or M.Com in Finance from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum

    12 years of relevant experience

    in financial management, preferably in a mid to large-scale organization.
  • Extensive experience in the building and construction industry

    , with strong understanding of project-based financial operations, cost control, and contract billing (e.g., BOQ, RA bills, and subcontractor payments).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in financial software (e.g., Tally, SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel and financial modeling.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and work collaboratively with cross-functional departments.


Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Familiarity with investment planning, treasury functions, and risk management.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience working with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) teams on cost tracking and project financials is a plus.
