NewCold is seeking a highly motivated Finance Manager to join our growing team in Bengaluru. This role will be pivotal in managing the financial health of our rapidly expanding automated cold storage operations and transportation, focusing on cost control, budgeting, and financial reporting. The Finance Manager will play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making related to warehouse investments and operational efficiency. This position requires a qualified Chartered Accountant with a strong understanding of financial principles and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards.
• Develop and manage the annual budget and forecasting process for the Bengaluru operations, incorporating insights from operational teams.
• Analyze financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying key variances and providing actionable recommendations to management.
• Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, including P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
• Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Team building and development will be a key focus.
• Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with the operations team to analyze the financial impact of new projects, investments in automation, and changes to warehouse processes.
• Support the implementation and optimization of our ERP system (NetSuite preferred) and other financial software.
• Conduct cost-benefit analyses of potential investments in warehouse technology and automation initiatives.
As Finance Manager, you will be a vital link between the finance function and our operational teams, providing financial insights to optimize performance within our automated warehouse and transportation. You will directly impact NewCold’s profitability by managing budgets, analyzing variances, and identifying opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements. Your leadership will be instrumental in building a high-performing finance team capable of supporting our continued growth and investment in cutting-edge logistics technology.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; a professional accounting qualification (Chartered Accountant) is *required*.
• 3-5 years of progressive experience in a Finance Manager or similar role, with demonstrated leadership responsibilities.
• Experience in the logistics, supply chain, or warehouse management industry is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Strong technical skills in Microsoft Excel (advanced level), and experience with ERP systems (NetSuite is a plus).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing finance team.
