Responsibilities:
· Financial Reporting & Analysis:
o Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow), ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., Ind AS, IFRS).
o Conduct in-depth financial analysis, identifying key trends, variances, and drivers impacting business performance.
o Provide insightful commentary and recommendations to management based on financial analysis.
o Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to the manufacturing industry (e.g., cost of goods sold, production variances, inventory turnover).
o Responsible for the preparation, analysis, and timely submission of Management Information System (MIS) reports to support data-driven decision-making and operational efficiency.
o Liaise with banks and other financial institutions to manage financial transactions, maintain banking relationships, and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
· Budgeting & Forecasting:
o Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts, collaborating with various departments (e.g., Production, Sales and Procurement).
o Analyze actual performance against budget and forecast, explaining deviations and recommending corrective actions.
o Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning, scenario analysis, and long-term projections.
· Cost Management & Control:
o Analyze manufacturing costs, including direct materials, direct labor, and overheads, to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve efficiency.
o Support cost accounting activities, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
o Monitor and control expenses, ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures.
· Compliance & Internal Controls:
o Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations, tax laws, and internal financial policies.
o Assist in internal and external audit processes, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
o Contribute to maintaining and improving robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
· Business Partnering:
o Collaborate with operational teams to understand business drivers and provide financial insights that support decision-making.
o Support ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as required by management.
Qualifications:
· Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.
· Minimum of 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in a finance role within the manufacturing industry.
· Strong understanding of accounting principles (Ind AS/IFRS) and financial reporting.
· Proficiency in financial modeling and advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial functions).
· Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally) is highly preferred.
· Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial information clearly and concisely.
