Job Summary:
The Field Sales Executive is responsible for actively engaging with prospective and existing clients at their site locations, showcasing our product range using physical catalogues, accurately taking measurements, and driving the sales process to successful closure. This role requires a highly motivated individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong understanding of our products, and the ability to work independently to achieve sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
On-Site Client Engagement:
Travel to customer sites, including homes, businesses, or project locations, as per scheduled appointments or leads.
Present our product portfolio effectively to clients using physical catalogues, samples (if applicable), and product knowledge.
Clearly articulate product features, benefits, and value propositions, addressing client queries and concerns.
Accurate Measurement & Assessment:
Professionally and accurately take all necessary measurements at the client's site, ensuring precise data for product customization and quotation.
Assess site conditions, identify potential challenges or special requirements, and communicate them effectively.
Document all measurements and site-specific details meticulously using designated forms or digital tools.
Sales Closure & Order Generation:
Prepare and present accurate, competitive quotations based on measurements and client requirements.
Negotiate pricing and terms within company guidelines to secure sales.
Overcome objections and resolve client concerns to facilitate timely order placement.
Complete all necessary sales documentation, including sales orders, contracts, and payment collection (as per company policy).
Ensure a smooth handover of finalized orders to the internal operations/delivery teams.
Lead Management & Follow-up:
Manage assigned leads efficiently, scheduling site visits and follow-up activities.
Maintain consistent communication with prospective clients through calls, messages, and follow-up visits to nurture leads towards closure.
Update CRM or sales tracking systems accurately with all client interactions and sales progress.
Market Feedback & Reporting:
Provide regular reports on sales activities, lead status, conversion rates, and market feedback to the Sales Manager.
Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and new product developments.
Contribute to achieving individual and team sales targets.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred. Diploma holders with relevant experience will also be considered.
Experience: 1-2 years of proven field sales experience, preferably in [mention industry, e.g., building materials, home improvement, interior design, furniture, etc.] where on-site measurements and direct sales closure were key responsibilities.
Skills:
Excellent communication and presentation skills (verbal and written).
Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities.
Proficient in taking accurate measurements and basic mathematical calculations.
Customer-focused with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional service.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a field-based role.
Knowledge of local geography and routes [specifically for Bengaluru/Karnataka if applicable].
