Job Description Role: Deputy General Manager – Business Development (Commercial), Healthcare Location: Delhi Experience: Minimum 10 years in Logistics, with at least 8 years in Logistics Sales Role Summary:- The Deputy General Manager – Business Development (Healthcare) will drive profitable growth in the Healthcare sector, focusing on Pharmaceuticals, Nutraceuticals, and Medical Devices. This strategic individual contributor role combines direct client accountability with end-to-end ownership of the business development cycle. The incumbent will be responsible for delivering EBITDA targets for 2025 through customer acquisition, retention, and strategic account management, while ensuring solution-oriented engagement with enterprise clients. Key Responsibilities1. Revenue Growth & P&L Ownership Drive revenue and EBITDA targets for the Healthcare vertical. Lead and support Business Development Executives while aligning with Pre-Sales, BU Sales, and Post-Sales functions. Identify and close high-value opportunities across sub-sectors. 2. Strategic Sales Execution Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, solution design, proposal development, negotiation, and deal closure. Develop and implement sub-sector sales strategies supported by strong pipeline management and CRM adoption. Track performance metrics including conversion, win ratios, and profitability. 3. Client Engagement & Retention Build and sustain CXO-level relationships with enterprise customers. Deliver tailored logistics solutions aligned to client-specific business needs. Lead Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews to ensure client satisfaction and account growth. Maintain >70% retention rate of enterprise accounts by revenue and profitability. 4. Collaboration & Cross-BU Integration Partner with at least 2 Business Units to deliver integrated supply chain solutions. Ensure pricing governance, commercial documentation accuracy, and compliance with internal protocols. Collaborate with platforms like Trade Finance to provide value-added solutions. 5. Customer Delight & Experience Management Drive customer satisfaction through structured feedback loops and regular surveys. Implement corrective measures based on insights and track performance via sector scorecards. Ensure robust CRM adoption for consistent engagement and reporting. 6. Commercial Excellence & Reporting Lead negotiations with a focus on profitability and customer satisfaction. Monitor and report key sales KPIs such as pipeline health, win ratios, EBIT margins, and retention performance. 7. Market Development & Thought Leadership Track industry trends, competitive moves, and growth opportunities in the Healthcare logistics domain. Represent the organization at forums and industry events to enhance brand visibility. Provide market intelligence to influence strategic planning. Qualifications & Competencies Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field (preferred). Minimum 10 years’ experience in Logistics with at least 8 years in Logistics Sales. Proven track record of managing large P&Ls and sector portfolios. Strong commercial acumen and customer-centric mindset. Experience in strategic/enterprise account development and cross-functional collaboration. Attributes: Execution-focused, detail-oriented, persistent, and highly customer-oriented. Strong knowledge of one or more of the following: Contract Logistics, Cold Chain, Rail, Freight Forwarding, Free Trade Warehouse Zones (FTWZ).
