Job Purpose: The primary purpose of the Trainee Marine Pilot cum Duty Port Captain role is to support the safe and efficient navigation of vessels within the port while assisting in the management of port operations. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of maritime traffic and upholding regulatory compliance. As a trainee marine pilot, the incumbent will undergo comprehensive training and mentorship to develop the skills and expertise necessary to safely pilot vessels. Additionally, the role involves assisting the Harbour master in overseeing port operations and supporting the implementation of safety protocols and procedures. This includes coordinating vessel berthing and mooring activities, conducting vessel inspections, and participating in emergency response drills. By actively participating in both marine piloting and port management activities, the trainee will gain valuable hands-on experience and knowledge in the maritime industry. Educational Qualifications & Certifications - Valid Master ( F.G) Certificate of Competency Master’s experience and prior vessel handling experience preferred.
