Commercial Manager / Sr. Commercial Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the

    India commercial finance lead

    , owning all client and vendor commercial processes.
  • Review, structure, and negotiate

    sales agreements, scopes of work (SOWs), trading deals, and client/vendor contracts

    to ensure financial and legal compliance.
  • Lead

    billing, invoicing, collections, and dispute resolution

    , ensuring timely revenue recognition and minimal overdue receivables.
  • Partner with client teams on

    pricing, margin management, and negotiation strategies

    to optimize profitability.
  • Manage and forecast

    cash flow, working capital, and revenue recognition

    for India operations.
  • Conduct regular

    variance analysis, MIS reporting, and commercial dashboards

    for senior management and regional leadership.
  • Collaborate with legal and operations teams to ensure timely execution and renewal of

    contracts, NDAs, and SOWs

    .
  • Drive

    process governance, SOP creation, and automation initiatives

    to streamline commercial finance operations.
  • Provide

    business insights and commercial guidance

    to leadership for decision-making on growth, efficiency, and cost optimization.
  • Support regional and global stakeholders with

    audit, compliance, and reporting requirements

    .

Key Skills & Experience

  • 10–15 years of experience

    in

    Commercial Finance / Agency Finance

    (Media, Digital, Advertising, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of

    client contracts, trading negotiations, pricing structures, and SOW reviews

    .
  • Proven experience in

    billing, invoicing, collections, dispute resolution, and revenue assurance

    .
  • Hands-on exposure to

    revenue forecasting, cash flow management, and working capital optimization

    .
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to partner with

    sales, client, finance, and leadership teams

    .
  • Proficiency in

    ERP/Finance tools (e.g., MS Dynamics, Tally, ZOHO, or similar)

    and advanced Excel/analytical tools.
  • Excellent

    negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills

    .
  • Agency background is

    mandatory

    (experience in global/regional media agency setups preferred).
