Position Overview

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will play a pivotal leadership role in ensuring the company’s operations align with strategic goals, focusing on seamless project delivery, client satisfaction, process optimization, and cross-functional team management. The COO will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, resource planning, client engagement workflows, and ensuring project profitability and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operational Leadership

● Lead and optimize all day-to-day operational functions across software delivery, project management, and client engagement.

● Develop and implement business strategies, operational procedures, and best practices. ● Drive operational efficiency, risk mitigation, and service quality across departments.

2. Project Oversight & Delivery Management

● Supervise the Developers to ensure on-time, on-budget, and high-quality project deliveries.

● Monitor project pipelines, timelines, sprint velocity, QA cycles, and resource allocation.

● Resolve project bottlenecks and client escalations quickly and effectively.

● Ensure proper implementation of Agile/Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid delivery frameworks depending on the project type.

3. Client & Account Management

● Collaborate closely with client success and sales teams to understand customer expectations, KPIs, and delivery timelines.

● Engage with clients directly during onboarding, key milestones, escalations, and project retrospectives.

● Ensure SLAs are defined, met, and exceeded; build long-term, trust-based client relationships.

4. Strategic Planning & Execution

● Assist the CEO in strategic planning and execution, identifying areas for growth, improvement, and expansion.

● Translate company goals into operational roadmaps and department-level objectives.

● Monitor key business metrics (KPI dashboards, burn rates, margins) to support executive decision-making.

5. People & Culture Leadership

● Mentor department heads, delivery leads, and team managers across tech, QA, design, sales, and support.

● Oversee performance management, succession planning, and leadership development programs.

● Champion a high-performance, people-centric, collaborative company culture.

Required Qualifications & Experience

● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s or MBA preferred.

● 6+ years of leadership experience in software development or IT services, with at least 2 years in a COO, VP, or Director-level role.

● Proven track record of managing multi-disciplinary teams and client-based software development projects (preferably in Agile environments).

● Hands-on experience in delivery management, client handling, budget management, and scaling operations.

● Strong knowledge of project tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, ClickUp), CRMs (e.g., Zoho, Salesforce), and development methodologies.
