Role Summary

The CMO will be a strategic partner in the Company’s transformation from a wholesale-driven consumer products company into a diversified consumer retail and lifestyle brand. This role will lead Brand Building, Consumer Insights, Drive demand capture and Revenue growth and organizational design to support growth in our businesses while strengthening practices for long-term scalability.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership

  • Deliver revenue results through an aligned Product Development & Marketing strategy
  • Define and own the company’s long-term marketing vision and brand architecture.
  • Lead annual marketing planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.

2. Brand Management & Growth

  • Build and strengthen brand identity, positioning, and narrative across markets.
  • Oversee new product launches, category expansion, and go-to-market strategy.
  • Ensure consistent brand communication across all channels — retail, digital, ATL, BTL, PR.

3. Digital & Performance Marketing

  • Drive digital growth across performance marketing, SEO, CRM, marketplaces, and loyalty programs.
  • Optimize consumer acquisition, retention, and lifecycle value.
  • Lead data-driven marketing through analytics, attribution, and marketing automation.

4. Consumer Insights & Market Intelligence

  • Build a strong insights function to understand consumer needs and emerging trends.
  • Leverage research, data, and analytics to drive strategic decisions.
  • Monitor competition, pricing, and category opportunities.

5. Retail & Channel Marketing

  • Develop integrated marketing plans for retail, distributor networks, and on-ground activations.
  • Partner with sales leadership to drive footfall, dealer engagement, and trade marketing.
  • Build strong BTL and regional programs to maximize reach, especially in semi-urban/rural markets.

6. Communication, PR & Corporate Reputation

  • Oversee brand communication, advertising, content, and storytelling.
  • Manage PR, media relations, crisis communication, and corporate reputation.
  • Ensure cohesive messaging internally and externally.

7. Leadership & Team Development

  • Build and lead a high-performing marketing team across brand, digital, content, insights, and design.
  • Nurture a culture of creativity, experimentation, and data-driven thinking.
  • Develop agency and partner ecosystem — creative, digital, media, research, activation.

8. Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with across functional teams.
  • Ensure marketing initiatives support business goals (SKU strategy, inventory, pricing, etc.)
  • Report directly to CEO and participate in strategic leadership meetings.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 18-20+ years of progressive experience in marketing, brand and growth roles.
  • Proven track record in building and scaling brands (preferably FMCG, retail,fashion, lifestyle, D2C).
  • Strong expertise in digital marketing, consumer insights, and category management.
  • Experience managing large budgets and complex, multi-channel campaigns.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic thinking abilities.
